Madsen & Schubell, accent chair and stool in teak, reupholstered, 1950s

A very rare version of 'The Prague Chair' and the teak stool, reupholstered with luxurious vintage fabric from the 1980s. Designed by Henry Hans Schubell for Ib Madsen & Acton Schubell in the 1950s. The majority of Madsen & Schubell chair models were designed by Henry Hans Schubell, including 'The Prague Chair', and produced in the joint company with Arnold Madsen in Copenhagen. This sculptural armchair complements many interior styles, including Modern, Scandinavian, Antique, Classic, or Art Deco. The design focuses on functionality and comfort, reflecting the principles of Scandinavian design that emphasise a sustainable and harmonious lifestyle.
