Knives in their snakeskin look box

Set of 12 table knives (not notched) with a sober design reminiscent of the art deco style, but original with the pretty textured color of the handles. The handles are made of synthetic ceramic material (resin. Bakelite?) of a non-uniform ivory colour with lighter or darker mottling on orange. They are presented in their pretty original box whose two-tone coating, a color mainly between burgundy and chocolate enhanced by a rust color, imitates the appearance of snake skin. It has pretty golden clasps. The inside of the lid is padded and covered with a thin, silky fabric of light gold color, where the label of the store where it was bought probably in the 60s or 70s is still present. The other part of the box is covered with a bright yellow felt. The knives are in good condition, still solid, the blades are well anchored to the handles, but they have small marks of time and use: small marks, scratches and stains. The box is in good condition, solid, without deformation, but has some light abrasions on the corners. The inner fabric has some very small spots. Felt has relatively large dark spots, perhaps moisture stains when the knives were stored in the box without having been well dried. The box measures 37.5 cm by 27 cm, and 3.5 cm thick. The knives are 23 cm long.
