Three generations of cabinetmakers have led Trotel, specialized in the manufacture of art furniture, to the rank of a true reference in France and Europe. Trotel was one of the only manufacturers to produce furniture in limited series or by subscription. Trotel only used noble species such as French cherry, oak (and, for the interior parts, chestnut) to which were added some rare and precious species: mahogany, amaranth, rosewood, lemon tree and yew... Authenticity, originality, respect for the rules of the trade are the basic principles on which trotel manufacturing was based. Gifted with an insatiable curiosity for rare pieces, coupled with a true intuition, René Trotel knew how to unearth the rare and authentic object which will serve as a source of his inspiration. Each collection, each trotel piece of furniture is a true pilgrimage in the memory of cabinetmaking.
