French art nouveau scrolling acanthus leaf 5 light 5 sided gilt bronze and crystal cage chandelier, the chandelier is in the form of a five sided scrolled acanthus leaf detailed cage with decorative finial to the bottom. The five scrolling acanthus arms form part of the cage and the arms lead to leaf shaped candle drip holders with card drips. The chandelier hangs from a 5 link chain, 2 of which are decorative, a bar and matching ceiling rose. To enhance its allure, this chandelier is adorned with an assortment of exquisite crystals. The light has its original french twin core braided wiring and takes 5 small screws in bulbs e14s. Us and canadian buyers are able to find adapters to use this chandelier with their e12 bulbs (without the need to change the bulb holders). Please search on line 'e14 to e12' adapter. The bronze has a lovely time worn patina, it has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on the finish. All the crystals are complete and free from any visible chips or cracks may have small some nibbles. The card drips are in good vintage condition with age related ware especially around the tops. We take great care in wrapping our crystal chandeliers, but on occasion some of the crystals may work loose and its down to you to rehang them which is usually a simple process.
