Description
Old ceramic coffee table of the 50s, zoomorphic motifs, abstracts and free forms. 4 half circles tubular, black lacquered make up the base. The central part is surrounded by scoubidou thread, characteristic of those years technique used for furniture until the years 1960-1970. This table has ideal proportions (width 53.5cm, depth 32.5cm, height 36.5cm), to find its place next to a togo sofa, a scandinavian teak row. Superb general condition, note a slight crack, on the black tile with a rooster (2nd from the left), barely noticeable. The paint of the base shows traces of oxidation, consistent with its age. Traces of black paint on the underside of the tray that must not be original, easily removable. Note that the support of the ceramic tiles composing the tray is a metal plate (aluminum?). Very beautiful piece, which deserves a famous signature, contemporary of jouve, capron, mithé espelt, in the pure style of vallauris of the middle of the century.
