Large Bonbonnière / Pot in White Marble with Gold Finishes

Period: ca. Mid 20th century this is a truly unique marble lidded pot. It is quite large for this type of pot and the carved beaded frieze around the bottom makes it very special. The pot is cylindrical and the hinged lid is slightly domed. The edges are decorated with gold metal finishes which have delicate arabesque patterns in relief. The marble has a whitish color with gray veins. Condition: good. A few small scratches (see photo). Dimensions: 10.5 cm in height, 16 cm in diameter, 1.5 kg.
