Description
Hélène rivière (1895-1977) is a painter born in toulouse into a family of artists. His mother is an embroiderer and his father is a professor of ornamental sculpture at the beaux arts in toulouse. She exhibited at the salon of southern artists from 1920, then at the salon of french artists from 1926. She won the gold medal there in 1935, then the rosa bonheur prize in 1935 for “the favors of geese”. Landscapes, flowers and the farmyard are his favorite subjects.
