Signed Mid-Century Scandinavian Sommerso Glass Vase by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta, Sweden, 1960s

Stunning sommerso glass vase by vicke lindstrand for kosta (sweden, 1960s). This beautiful vase is made of thick navy blue glass encased in pale grey layer and surrounded by clear glass. It is extremely decorative. Signed "kosta lh 1825". Height: 15 cm; width: 13 cm; depth: 7 cm. Quite heavy (weight: 2.4 kg). Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks. Some scratches. "sommerso" (italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in murano which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
