In 1952, in paris, ferdinand solere, a great name in french design, created a series of light and handy lamps mainly for architects. Very inventive, this designer filed no less than 37 patents! These lamps were constantly evolving. In 1965, ferdinand solere perfected the joints of his lamps with his patented knee system. From this date, all the fixings of his lamps were reviewed with this process. Each element of this lamp is stamped “sol-r” the 203 model is a telescopic and articulated architect's lamp from the 50s with a vice clamp. • steel arm tubes • aluminum reflector and “knee” joints • chrome-plated brass water drop switch this industrial lamp was completely dismantled, stripped and restored in the gascony design workshop. The aluminum and steel tubes were polished and are protected by carnauba wax. The electrical wiring has been brought up to standard (grounding). Black cotton-sheathed electrical wire.
