Description
Set of two large old earthenware dishes dating from the 1930s, signed by the french manufacture of longwy, in excellent condition. The two dishes, oval in shape and with different dimensions, are made of ivory white earthenware, with red fillet on the perimeter, a border worked in lines, and a very nice floral pattern in their center, characteristic in the design of art deco lines. The small flowers, drawn in black, are colored with an enamel affixed in relief, as are the pieces of longwy (emaux de longwy). Two very beautiful pieces of art deco tableware, with a beautiful signature. Twentieth century: 1930s. Dimensions of the large dish: length: 36 cm. Width: 25 cm. Height: 3 cm. Weight: 730 g. Dimensions of the smallest dish: length: 31.5 cm. Width: 21.5 cm. Height: 3 cm. Weight: 630 g. Stamp with the crown "longwy france" under each dish: stamp dated 1934. Excellent condition of both dishes: no crack, no chips, no stains. Note: two small glaze wears at the bottom edge of the dishes, not very visible, and a small ginning at the bottom edge of the smallest flat (photos with arrows).
