Vintage antique stoneware bottle

Antique stoneware bottle with ceramic stopper and metal clasp. Rustic antique french stoneware bottle. Sandstone thermos. Single stem vase. It is an antique stoneware bottle with working cap. Rare and collectible. It has a porcelain stopper, which still works perfectly, forming a tight seal. The metal clasp is slightly rusty and the rubber of the cap is starting to show signs of degradation, but this simply adds to the charm of this bottle and actually gives it a "aging to perfection" feel. It is in very good condition, without cracks. There are some very small "nibbles" from edge to the lip and base, for an authentic authenticity (see photos.) Glazed in a creamy/oatmeal/taupe neutral color, it is very tactile, with the outside of the bottle having a smooth, shiny feel and some "speckled" air bubbles formed during the icing process. Perfect as a single-stem vase, we stylized it this way. We added natural string around the neck and center of the bottle, for styling. It would be fabulous displayed alongside other stoneware items on a kitchen shelf or farm dresser and would make an interesting gift for anyone brewing their own beer or wine. It could be used for lemonade or as a hot water bottle or vintage thermos too! It is 30.5 cm (12 in) tall (up to the cap) and weighs about 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs)!.
