Description
Rare german postmodern design chaise longue "flying carpet" designed by simon desanta with a fabric by dorothy hafner, rosenthal publisher, germany 1983. This cantilevered armchair with a steel structure and a metal base is a typical chair of the "memphis" style. Labeled with the designer and manufacturer on the base, also signed on the fabric. Amazing sculptural design. And large armchair. The chair features a heavy steel base and frame in blue color, and a soft and removable seat cover with an abstract decoration typical of the 1980s in turquoise blue, white and black. The backrest is pink. The chair has an attribution mark engraved in the base, as well as fabric designer dorothy hafner's signature on the armchair cover. The chair is very stable and comfortable to sit, perfect for lounging. The structure is in excellent condition, the fabric has some wear marks and snags but remains in good condition for its age (please see detailed photos). Size: Width 140 cm/55.10". Depth 130 cm/51.20". Height 98 cm / 38.60". Seat height 46 cm/18.10".
