Bouquet of tulips, lithograph signed Roger Mühl, imp. Mourlot, c. 1980-1990

Very large original lithograph in color on Arches paper signed Roger Mühl (Strasbourg, 1929–Mougins, 2008). The work is signed "mühl" in pencil at the bottom right and bears, at the bottom left, the dry stamp of the lithography workshop Mourlot (Paris), famous for having printed the greatest artists of the 20th century. It is an artist's proof, as indicated by the abbreviation "e.a." affixed to the pencil at the bottom left of the composition. Because they are an integral part of the process of artistic creation, these special prints have a great value: the artists' proofs are printed in a few copies without any numbering and are reserved for the personal use of the artist. The lithograph is superbly framed with double mats whose edges match the blue and green tones of the work. Very qualitative, the solid wood frame has a patinated silver leaf finish (effect?); It is 94 cm high and 88.5 cm wide. The lithography itself is 68 cm high by 62 cm wide. Very good condition, both the lithography and the frame. The assembly was completely dismantled, inspected, cleaned and reassembled in December 2022; No folds or freckles to report. The lithography is ready to be hung. The artist's rating is gradually increasing: his frequent exhibitions have helped to establish his reputation during his lifetime in the international art market. In 2018, the oil on canvas "inside the bouquet" (110x100 cm) was sold at 4425 euros. More recently, among the twenty works of the artist sold in September 2021 by the auction house dufrèche (belfort), "the calanque de sormiou" (150x160 cm) and a "view of the trayas" (85x80 cm) were respectively sold for 27280 € and 34100 €.
