Antique solid oak chair

Rare carved salt chair, Popular Art 19th century. A real favourite for this authentic salt chair (or "salinou") made of solid oak. It is a superb piece of popular art that once stood by the fireplace to keep the salt dry. It is very heavy and sturdy, with a beautifully hand-carved backrest (floral patterns and central cross). Its dark patina is stunning and reflects its age. Fully cleaned and treated, it has retained its small marks of time that give it all its charm. Perfect today as an original bedside table, at the end of a sofa, or in an entrance hall.
