Pair of large vintage oval dishes – Givors earthenware – Grand dam decor

Rare and magnificent duo of large oval serving dishes in opaque earthenware, authentic pieces stamped from the Givors factory (L.G. L'Horme Givors), bearing the mention "Decor Deposé." This lot consists of two perfectly matched pieces with a very pronounced retro and graphic look: • 1 dish with large emerald green and white checks. • 1 dish with large burgundy red and white checks. Their geometric pattern reminiscent of large Vichy/checkered style infuses a spirit of Parisian bistro or country house that is both vintage and decidedly contemporary. • Marking & Authenticity: Official logo of the Givors earthenware factory stamped in black ink under each base. • Condition: Beautiful vintage condition for pieces that have crossed decades. The earthenware retains a nice shine. No major chips or cracks to report. The bottom of the dishes shows normal signs of use and scratches (visible in the photos), which attest to their authenticity.
