Entrance furniture - Vintage telephone bench in wood marquetry

Superb and rare vintage entrance furniture / telephone bench in marquetry wood, a true character piece combining occasional furniture, storage, and seating. Its elegant side unit features remarkable geometric marquetry work, visible on the top as well as on the sides, highlighted by fine light wood inlays. The curved lines of the front, tapered legs, and sculpted details of the structure give it a particularly refined silhouette. The furniture includes a sliding drawer, two open storage levels, and a generous integrated padded seat. Originally designed to accommodate a telephone and allow for comfortable seating during conversations, it easily finds its place today in an entrance, bedroom, dressing room, or living room. The contrast between the warm wood, graphic marquetry, and fabric in natural tones gives it a lot of charm and a true decorative presence. An original vintage piece, as functional as it is decorative, ideal for a classic contemporary, eclectic, Art Deco, or mid-century interior. In very good overall vintage condition, with slight signs of wear that contribute to its authenticity. An uncommon piece, perfect for adding character to an interior without sacrificing functionality.
