Vintage 1940 terrestrial globe glass Duo Erdglobus Berlin - 44 cm

Huge old german duo erdglobus world map lamp in glass, paper, wood and chrome metal circa 1940 in good condition. This magnificent piece is written in german, duo for political and geographical (we find the names of the countries of the time and we can see the reliefs). It is not dated however we can read the former french colonies of north africa as well as the indian union (1947-1950) which will become india in 1950, it is therefore a globe manufactured at the end of the years 40. Concerning its condition, the wooden and chrome base as well as the arch are impeccable. The paper card is absolutely magnificent, the colors are very vivid, and the nuances of color that appear when lit make it a sumptuous decorative object. It measures 44cm high, the diameter of the globe is 32cm and 34cm deep.
