Schoolmaster's desk

A large desk, very surely for a schoolmaster. In the closet the mauvis memories of school because this desk has all the assets to charm us. It must date from the early 1900s, time has patinated its painting in some places revealing the wood. And the most striking is the crossbar under the desk that has been refined by the friction of the feet. It offers two beautiful storage lockers when you lift the shelf, there is the hole of a keyhole but the mechanism is gone. We do not know if the black is original but the fact that it has patinated over time and mixed with the wood made us crack we just sanded a little for the possible chips and varnished it to protect it for the rest of his adventure. In addition to being high and being able to write standing up it offers a beautiful flat surface - to deposit small bazaar - and a beautiful surface to put a book or write. Dimensions: max height 87 cm, mini 77 cm, width 90 cm, depth 58 cm. The compartments are 40 cm wide.
