Pair of Thonet armchairs number 6285

Pair of armchairs signed thonet. This armchair is found for the first time in the second complement (oktober 1904) of the general catalogue of thonet 1904. This seat n°6285, had its counterpart, "kanapée" and "schankelfauteuil" we find it in a german catalog in 1906, in a belgian catalog in 1909, in 1912 but not beyond. It is equipped from its marketing with the foot connection system n°265 (see attached sketch) which will be used frequently during the vienna secession and during art deco. Fully restored (frame - canning - fabric).
