A large MBFA Pornic Rosita pattern glazed stoneware platter, hand-decorated with a rose motif in shades of pink and green. It embodies all the charm of handcrafted pieces, with a matte finish, a beige-grey rim accented by a beautiful lilac border, and a caramel-colored underside, bringing an authentic and warm touch to the table. The Manufacture Bretonne de Faïences Artistiques (MBFA), founded in 1947 in Pornic, has left its mark on the history of French artisanal tableware. The Rosita pattern was created in the 1970s by Lucette Loirat, the company's renowned decorator and Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France) in 1979, who designed over a hundred floral motifs for the factory. Stamped MBFA Pornic, hand-painted – Rosita pattern – France. Length 40 cm, width 21.5 cm, height 3.5 cm Excellent vintage condition, very glossy, no minor scratches from use. I also have in my shop, same model, same manufacturer, a set of 6 dinner plates as well as a set of 4 dinner plates. Delicate charm and subtle graphic relief, perfect for a modern cottage style and slow decor.
