Small old stoneware jug — Pinched spout, ribbed body

Small stoneware jug, found in Touraine. It was likely used to store oil, wine, or milk, and comes from a regionally produced handmade craft. Round silhouette, narrow neck with a pinched spout, small handle. The striations from the wheel cover the entire body, and the clay retains rosy hues from firing under a gray patina. Glazed on the inside, it can serve as a vase. Condition: good condition, signs of use, small chips and irregularities of an old piece. Dimensions: L 16 × H 20 cm.
