Very large farmhouse table in solid oak.

XXL farmhouse table made of solid oak, originating from French rural production in the 1950s. The tabletop is made of wide oak planks, with visible grain and knots that showcase the character of the wood. The piece has been restored in the workshop and receives a satin varnish applied to the entire structure, including the tabletop and legs, which unifies the colour while allowing the natural variations of the oak to be seen. The structure rests on four tapered spindle legs, characteristic of French popular woodworking from the Reconstruction period. The peripheral band ensures the rigidity of the whole without a lower crossbar, providing generous clearance under the table at 63 cm. The simplicity of the design and the unusual size make it suitable for both a large dining room and a creative workspace. At 288.5 cm long and 104 cm wide, the table comfortably accommodates ten to twelve guests. Given the thickness of the planks and the section of the legs, the weight likely exceeds 100 kg. Ref.
