Set of four "Plia" chairs in smoked polypropylene and steel, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli. This chair is an iconic design of the 1970s and is featured in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Since its presentation at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1967, it has become a cult object, appearing in MoMA's Radical Furniture exhibition as an example of "democratic design." The Plia combines a steel frame with a seat and back made of transparent polypropylene, making it both lightweight and aesthetically pleasing. Individual chairs can be purchased. Please contact me by email. The Plexiglas is in very good condition. The chrome is in generally good condition, with some minor pitting. Not all glides are present on all chairs.
