Lc8 swivel stool designed by charlotte perriand in 1927. Produced by cassina in the late 70s or early 80s, serial number 09892. The lc series furniture had been attributed to le corbusier, but today charlotte perriand is recognized as the designer. As this stool dates from the 70s or 80s, only the name of Le Corbusier is engraved under this lc8. Perriand initially designed this stool for his own apartment on Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris in the 1920s. It was presented at the 1927 Salon d'Automne to a wider audience, it was part of the "bar under the roof" project. . Chromed steel tube structure. Swivel seat covered in original black leather. Very nice original condition, leather and chrome! Seat height 49cm.
