Rare and superb soliflore vase in modernist/brutalist style made of stoneware (stengods), designed by the famous Swedish ceramist Elsi Bourelius (Borelius) for the Jie Gantofta factory in the 1970s. This is the medium-sized variant. The vase is shaped from dense, heavy stoneware with a beautiful matte unglazed finish in dark grey/anthracite. The body is adorned with elegant hand-incised brutalist geometric patterns and tribal concentric circles that beautifully catch the light. With its narrow opening of 2 cm, it works perfectly as a soliflore for a single stem, dried pampas grass, or eucalyptus branches. Ideal for a Japandi, Brutalist, or Mid-Century Modern ambiance. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Impeccable structure, with no chips, cracks, or restorations. Rich original texture and beautiful patina consistent with age. Markings: Fully signed and numbered under the base: "elsi 354 G" (confirming authenticity). Dimensions: Height 17 cm | Base diameter 7.5 cm | Top opening 2 cm | Weight: 526 g. Very careful and secure shipping.
