A small, low-sided bonnetière in solid cherry wood, dating from the 19th century. This small piece of furniture has unusual proportions; the upper section consists of a shelf. The Louis Philippe style legs are pistol-shaped, and the keyhole escutcheon is made of pressed tin. The door and the front frame are inlaid with a black marquetry band of ebony. The interiors are glazed, and the patina is achieved with beeswax.
