Former Mauritanian trunk, late 19th and early 20th century

Very interesting chest from mauritania. Late 19th century, early 20th century. Wood and steel with copper and brass inlays. Porting rings. The numerous open metal pieces give these chests a medieval look. These small chests allowed women to store the most precious objects, fabrics, jewelry and perfumes while men could store their weapons. Wear of use, but good general condition. A key presents, but lock broken. Length - 57 cm. Width - 30 cm. Height - 23 cm. Weight - about 7 kg.
