Antique sewing machine

Antique sewing machine. Purely decorative, it is not functional. With mother-of-pearl inlays. Designer: miguel escuder, barcelona's leading sewing machine manufacturer. At the time, the work of cast iron was superior to that of other products that were on the market. It is an aurora model, very similar to the one manufactured by wheeler & weber. Escuder added accessories that made it a luxury machine, such as mother-of-pearl inlays. The sewing machine bears the names of escuder and terrassa inlaid on the sides, and under both names you can see the torre del palau, symbol of the city of terrassa.
