Magnificent spiral spring lamp by Philippe Rogier dating from the 1970s. Conceived as a functional sculpture, this lamp perfectly embodies the aesthetic avant-garde of the decade. Made entirely of metal, it is distinguished by its metallic spiral structure evoking at the same time a propeller, an industrial coil and a floral corolla. The bulb, placed at the center of this mesh, becomes the luminous heart of the composition, in a raw and assumed staging. This play of tension between volume, material and light reflects an experimental approach characteristic of the design of the seventies.
