Robert Picault (1919-2000) A genius ceramicist, having worked closely with Picasso and Roger Capron, he created his own alquifoux (a mixture of lead sulfide and sand) and developed this very personal style inspired by the Muslim Middle Ages with geometric patterns drawn in two colors, blue and manganese and especially green and manganese. He created a factory to honor the orders of the Aga Khan. The personal pieces are signed "Picault" in full, After his departure the industrial pieces are signed "RP" This candy box was created by Robert Picault.
