Rare chrome TC2 floor lamp by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar for Artimeta, Netherlands 1960s

This impressive minimalist design floor lamp was designed in the late 60s by Dutch designer Aldo van de Nieuwelaar. It was produced by Artimeta. They were produced in white and in chrome with chrome being the rarest version. Only 47 chrome ones were produced. The lamp stands an impressive 202cm in height. The upper tube can be rotated to direct the light. It is also suitable for mounting on the wall. The transformer in the bottom also functions as a weight to keep the lamp in position. This particular lamp has been modified to LED by an electrician. retaining the original transformer and connections. It can be easily transformed back to original. New cable and foot-switch have been fitted. Original and legendary mid century design brought to 21th century standards.
