Joseph oberthur (1872-1947), animal painter. European steppe in the paleolithic (bison & horses of przewalski) Original drawing in indian ink and wash on canson type paper, stamp "j. Oberthur" lower right. Dimensions including all margins: 270 X 150 mm. Margins cut irregularly, very good condition otherwise. This drawing was published in the book "l'activité migration" (rennes, oberthur, 1947), page 219. It will be shipped flat under off-white mats of 400 X 300 mm dimensions, ready to be framed.
