Made of teak, the “SK661” model combines open compartments, sliding doors and a large lower drop-down compartment with an opening upper bar section, fitted with a black surface, mirror, glass shelves and bottle holders. Designed by Johannes Andersen for J. Skaaning & Søn, Denmark, 1960s. Designed by Johannes Andersen for J. Skaaning & Søn, the “SK661” bar cabinet combines a remarkably elaborate arrangement of compartments and surfaces within a compact structure. Made of teak, the front is crossed by a band of carved geometric motifs, while shaped handles and gently curved sides complement the design. The upper section folds down to form a serving surface with a black finish, revealing a mirror, glass shelves and shaped bottle holders. Open compartments, sliding doors, a pull-out tray and a large lower compartment complete the cabinet’s storage arrangement. Designed as a freestanding piece, the cabinet features a footrest with a metal bar on the reverse, allowing it to function as a small domestic bar counter. The “SK661” model, produced in Denmark in the 1960s, is documented in Mobilia, no. 133, August 1966. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG065
