An antique piece carefully restored, respecting its history. This magnificent solid oak chest of drawers has undergone a complete hand restoration in our workshop. Our aim: to preserve the authenticity of this piece of furniture while giving it a new life suited to today’s interiors. The furniture has been entirely sandblasted, a gentle technique that removes old finishes while respecting the wood grain. This step reveals the natural hues of the oak, its grain, and the patina acquired over the years. Its top has been completely refurbished, providing a flawless finish while maintaining the original spirit of the chest of drawers. To ensure its longevity, the furniture has been treated against wood-boring insects and then carefully protected. The handles have also been replaced with new timeless models that perfectly match its antique character. With its three small upper drawers and two large drawers, this chest of drawers offers ample storage capacity for linens, tableware, clothing, or everyday items. Features related to its history. This chest of drawers is an authentic antique piece, carefully restored in our workshop. Despite the work done, it naturally retains some traces of its past, which are an integral part of its charm and character. The drawer fronts show some irregularities: they are no longer perfectly rectangular, and some corners are slightly chipped or rounded. Old holes are also visible on some fronts; they have been carefully filled during the restoration. The bottom of the lower drawer also has a hole, left as is. These features are visible in the photographs and are related to the age and history of the furniture. They do not affect its sturdiness, quality, or proper functioning and do not detract from its appeal.
