Opaline glass and brass suspension, Italy, 1960s.

Suspension in opaline glass and brass/bronze, originating from Italy and dating from the 1960s. This exceptional lamp comes from a beautiful bourgeois villa where it has been preserved with the utmost care. It consists of a moulded glass part in a stunning yellow and a "flattened" sphere in opaline white glass. The two glass elements meet at the centre thanks to an exquisitely finished brass metal piece. The beauty of the lamp is enhanced at its lower part by a brass rosette featuring a delicately crafted tip (see photos). It has truly charming details. Excellent vintage condition. The metal part shows some signs of age, which are normal for its age. No chips or cracks on the glass elements. The original electrical system is fully functional (may need replacing for safety and compliance reasons): it accommodates two E14 bulb sockets. Dimensions: Total height of the lamp (with chain): 90 cm; height of the light body: 47 cm; diameter of the sphere: 25 cm. The lamp has been cleaned but not polished, in order to preserve its vintage state.
