Since its first presentation at the "Salone del Mobile" in 1979, the Metafora table, designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, has fascinated with its aesthetics, the choice of its shapes and materials. No detail is accidental, and everything is connected by a common thread of meanings and historical references. The four forms of Euclidean geometry—Cube, Cylinder, Sphere, and Pyramid—in four different marbles, form the base of this table on which a transparent glass top rests. The four elements are independent and can be positioned freely, without the table losing its identity, regardless of the position of the elements that compose it, which are, nonetheless, necessary to provide stability. • Pyramid in White Carrara Marble. • Cube in Black Marquinia Marble. • Cylinder in Travertine. • Sphere in Rasotica Marble. The glass top is in generally good condition, with some micro-scratches and a slight chip as shown in the photo. These details have been taken into account in the proposed price.
