Flared vase on a pedestal in moulded glass, with a smoky amber brown hue. The octagonal body rises in four stacked sections, each slightly wider than the previous one, culminating in an open lip with a scalloped edge. The foot, also octagonal, consists of successive steps connected to the body by a short faceted ring. Thick and dense glass, with good transparency, whose hue varies from smoky grey to honey depending on the thickness. The mould joint lines remain visible on the foot, a normal trace of this production technique. On a console or mantelpiece, it can hold a branch of foliage or a few tall stems, alongside dark wood, stone, or brass. Height 30 cm, width of the neck 13.5 cm, width of the foot 10.5 cm. Weight 1.15 kg. Generally in good condition, with fine usage scratches and slight signs of wear under the foot. The moulded inscription "BELGE" under the foot indicates Belgian manufacture, without identifying the glassworks. The stepped silhouette and geometric treatment of the facets belong to the Art Deco vocabulary. This type of coloured pressed glass vase was produced in Belgium from the interwar period to the mid-century, particularly in Hainaut and the Liège region, suggesting a dating between the 1930s and 1950, without further precision.
