Wood worker and vintage rattan splice

We love to go in search of vintage objects that are off the beaten track. This worker is certainly one of them! Everything, in its design, is singular and has no air of déjà vu. It is composed of a large half-moon caisson made of wood and rattan splices. The flap opening is covered with vinyl awakened by a circle of metal dots. The legs, finished by casters, are made of curved wood and also act as handles. A slightly curved splice tray is located under the box. This one is large enough to store what it takes to sew or knit. But with its seductive aesthetics, this worker can be used as an extra piece of furniture, as a magazine holder. It is a piece of furniture that can be easily left in a living space, because its look makes it a beautiful vintage object that it would be a shame to store in a room dedicated to sewing. Rare and original. It is in good condition. Only the slightly deformed braided tablet is tarnished by time. If necessary, we can apply a coat of varnish to restore shine. We also left the headband the vinyl embossed from inside the box which is partially disjointed. It can be removed or stitched back together. Height: 52 cm / 57 cm with handles. Length: 45 cm.
