Oil Painting (Jan Knikker attr.)

A beautiful oil painting from one of the members of the dutch knikker family. The painting is signed right below. The name knikker is easy to decipher. The first name seems to be "jan." there were two of them: senior (1889-1957) and junior (1911-1990), father and son. I'm not completely sure to whom this painting has to be attributed. I'm inclined to think to jan knikker senior. However, it is beautifully made. The black frame is excellent and compliments the painting. It has been acquired from a private collection in the netherlands. It is very well preserved and in its original, mint condition.
