Description
Robert picault (1919-2000) a genius ceramist, having worked closely with picasso and roger capron, he created his own alquifoux (mixture of lead sulfide and sand) and developed this very personal style inspired by the muslim middle ages with traced geometric patterns, in duotone, blue and manganese and especially green and manganese. He created a factory to fulfill orders from aga khan. Caquelon or saucepan of the time because robert picault was the specialist in culinary ceramics this saucepan was used for this purpose. It shows some traces of use, the sale price takes this into account.
