Elegant wall coat rack with an iconic 1950s design, attributed to Matthieu Matégot, a major figure in post-war French design. This piece perfectly illustrates the designer's work with perforated metal (a technique known as Rigitulle), which he reinterprets with lightness and modernity. The black tubular structure is complemented by a top shelf, surmounting a triangular panel of lacquered red perforated metal, adorned with a mirror. The whole is punctuated by four painted wooden ball hooks (green, red, and yellow), adding contrast and dynamism to the silhouette. In good vintage condition, with a patina consistent with its age: slight paint wear on the ball hooks, the top shelf slightly dulled, and scattered signs of use. A piece that is both functional and sculptural, ideal for an entrance or a vintage interior. Dimensions: 74 X 32 X 25 cm. Careful packaging.
