The wide wooden frame defines the character of this Swedish mirror from the 1970s. The design was made by Glasmaster Markaryd and still has the original label stating Glasmaster Markaryd, Made in Sweden. The oval frame is made up of four parts of solid pine wood. The joints are intentionally part of the design and allow the different directions of the wood grain to align beautifully. Especially in the curves, the grain pattern stands out. The visible knots and natural colour variations are part of the wood used and give each part of the frame its own character. With its dimensions of 80 by 60 cm, the mirror has a pleasantly generous size without taking up much wall space. Thanks to its calm shape and light wood, it can be easily combined with both Scandinavian and vintage design as well as a more sober or Japandi interior. The mirror can be used both horizontally and vertically. Horizontally, the oval shape has a wide, almost landscape-like appearance, while vertically it works beautifully above a washbasin, chest of drawers or in a hallway. The wooden frame has been carefully cleaned and nourished by us. The mirror is in neat vintage condition. The original glass has also been well preserved. We have two identical pieces available, which are sold separately.
