Russian bowls Arabia Finland, Ulla Procopé, starter plates, modern style.

Beautiful set of 5 cereal bowls from Arabia Ruska, which can also be used as soup/salad/dessert/pudding bowls. This vintage stoneware was made by Arabia Finland and belongs to the Ruska series, designed by Ulla Procopé. The items are made of brown glazed stoneware. They are in very good condition. The entire Ruska range is oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe. Due to the nature of the Ruska glaze, the items vary. "Ruska" means "autumn" in Finnish, so it is quite fitting that this rustic and earthy design evokes an autumnal atmosphere, sitting by a fireplace. The rough surface appearance was created using an unusual decoration method: black iron powder was sprayed onto a matte glaze, giving each piece a slightly unique handcrafted and smoky look. The colour of the glaze transitions from a lighter tone to a darker one. This colour change gives the design a rustic appearance. There are no cracks or chips. See the photos.
