Rob Parry

This striking pair of “Lotus” lounge chairs was designed by Rob Parry for Gelderland in the Netherlands, 1960. A celebrated Dutch design, the Lotus series is admired for its clean architectural lines, modular construction, and superb comfort. The chairs feature sleek chrome-plated steel frames combined with black lacquered wooden elements, creating a sharp and modernist profile. Both pieces have been newly upholstered in a high-quality “Spectrum” fabric from Keymer in a rich burgundy red, lending warmth and vibrancy to the minimalist frame. The generous seat and angled backrest provide excellent comfort, making them as functional as they are refined in appearance. These chairs remain in very good condition, carefully restored while respecting their original character.
