Rarity: antique magazine rack by Ernst Rockhausen & Söhne, Germany, dating from the early 20th century. An elegant and highly architectural piece combining Art Nouveau/Jugendstil influences with an early restraint of Art Deco. Made of ebonised oak with brass magazine rails and original metal castors. The tall vertical proportions and refined geometric structure give the piece a sculptural presence while remaining fully functional. The original Rockhausen label is still present on the back. A beautiful decorative and practical object for a living room, library, office, or an interior with modernist, Art Deco, or eclectic influences. Condition: Good antique condition with signs of wear related to age and use. There is visible wear on the front of the lower rail (see photos). Otherwise, the piece presents very well and remains structurally sound. Dimensions: Height: 100 cm, width: 44 cm, depth: 29 cm. Materials: ebonised oak, brass, metal castors. Origin: Germany.
