Glazed stoneware vase signed JB

This turned stoneware vase, signed JB and dated 1980, is a piece of expression. Its glossy glaze displays a play of textures and molten hues: rusty brown, stone gray, black reflections and greenish traces blend into an almost lunar landscape. The neck is soberly curved, the base left raw reveals a typical chamotte stoneware. The whole is massive, powerful, almost telluric. Perfect for a decoration that is both raw and poetic, or as a centerpiece in a collection of designer ceramics.
