Rare "LC1" armchair, first edition Cassina n°253 designed between 1964-1965. This model was originally designed by the trio Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in the 1930s. It features a full-skin cowhide tilting backrest, secured under the seat by tensioners. The original brown leather armrests are integrated into a chrome-plated tubular metal structure, providing both comfort and elegance. Presence of the Le Corbusier engraved signature on the back bar and numbered. This design classic was first presented at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1929, its light and compact silhouette expresses the rationalist style specific to the modern period. Slight alterations due to the passage of time on the metal and leather, taking nothing away from the piece's timeless elegance.
