Chaise longue by Jean Lesage, produced by Airborne in the early 1950s. Tubular metal frame with traces of non-perforating oxidation. Original faux leather cushion, without holes or snags. Unrestored piece of furniture sold as is. Jean Lesage is known for having been Jacques Adnet's "right-hand man" in the 1930s when he took over the Compagnie des Arts Français, where he introduced designers such as René Gabriel and Charlotte Perriand. After the war, he worked with several publishers such as ABC Furniture and Airborne for this chaise longue. Bibliography: Ensemble Mobilier Vol. 13, 1953, a similar model reproduced on plate no. 13.
