Coffee maker, pitcher and milk jug by Rouma in Vallauris

Here is a beautiful set consisting of a coffee pot and a milk jug in ceramic with a beautiful milky glaze on which the ceramist has finely incised, engraved the floral motifs in such a way as to make the terracotta reappear. The shapes are elegant. It is a beautiful craftsmanship as much for the decoration as for the throwing and modeling of the pieces. Both elements are signed r. Rouma underneath, a british ceramist who worked in vallauris in the 60s. His ceramics were often decorated with flowers, sometimes animals, painted on the glaze, but those presenting floral decorations created by the technique used here are, in my opinion, the most successful and the most original! The set is in good condition, no defects to report on the milk jug, the marks visible on the photos are original irregularities (thin enamel), the coffee pot is also in perfect condition, only its lid has 3 small chips on the edges (see last close-up photos). The coffee pot measures 15.5 cm in height and 19.5 cm with its lid, for a width of approximately 14 cm from the handle to the belly and a maximum diameter of approximately 11 cm, the milk jug measures 7 cm in height, 12.5 cm in width from the spout to the handle and 9.5 cm in diameter.
