Tonkin bamboo bench

Carved bamboo bench from tonkin (french indochina) and dating from the late nineteenth - early twentieth. The bench is in very good condition; it has a solid bamboo structure and a braided seat. It has some traces of use, claws on the wood and decorative braiding; the braided seat is solid, some fibers are out of the edge but without affecting the strength of the whole. Dimensions: l 145 cm X h 106 cm X d 51 cm. Seat height 45 cm.
